Evo in the Community offers a structured volunteer programme for students aged 13 years plus. The main aims of the programme are;
- Provide quality volunteering opportunities for all of our young learners.
- Facilitate a support network to ensure volunteers are well informed, confident and have the chance to develop key skills.
- Provide a direct link with the International Award / Duke of Edinburgh.
- To create a pathway for young learners to develop as young leaders and give them key experience for further education and employment.
Within our Volunteer programme, we aim to recruit volunteers and engage them in opportunities either at their own school or at our Evolution Sports development centers. Upon sign up, each volunteer is supported by having a direct contact and sign-posted to their sessions, which will be tracked and incentivised throughout with Evolution Sports Volunteer certificates being rewarded at 10, 30 and 50 hours.
Through developing a network of volunteers, we host regular monthly meetings where volunteers from each of our venues will have the opportunity to share best practice, raise any concerns, receive inset training and plan events regularly throughout the year.
